ACM Gordon Bell Prize finalist: Destination Earth’s Climate Digital Twin

The Climate Change Adaptation Digital Twin, part of the Destination Earth initiative, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Gordon Bell Prize for Climate Modelling – one of the most renowned awards in high-performance computing.

The ClimateDT is harnessing the power of two EuroHPC Joint Undertaking’s supercomputers: the LUMI supercomputer in Finland and MareNostrum5 in Spain.

We spoke with Pekka Manninen, Principal Investigator of the ClimateDT project, ahead of the SC25 conference, where the winner of the award will be announced.
