[Update 1.8.2025 13:00 CEST] LUMI Service Notice: Increased Queue Times

[1.8.25 13:00 CEST (14:00 EEST)]
Another similar reservation will be put in place for Saturday 2 August. Hopefully, it will be removed on Sunday 3 August when temperatures are likely to reach more seasonal values.
This thread will be updated as soon as we have further information.
Thank you for your patience.

[1.8.25 07:15 CEST (08:15 EEST)]

As unusually high temperatures are still expected today 1 August in Kajaani, Finland, GPU nodes will remain unavailable from 11:00 CEST (12:00 EEST). They will be released in the evening as soon as temperatures start dropping.
[31.7.25 13:30 CEST (14:30 EEST)]
Due to unseasonably high temperatures occuring in Kajaani today, 31 July, GPU nodes will remain unavailable until this evening 20:00 CEST (21:00 EEST).
We expect lower temperatures back in the region from the end of the weekend.
[23.7.25 16:15 CEST (17:15 EEST)]
Due to high temperatures at LUMI datacenter, the LUMI operations have temporarily reserved 1,000+ nodes to prevent their use and therefore overheating.
Impact: You’ll experience longer queue times while LUMI operates with reduced capacity.
All services remain fully operational. We are monitoring the situation and will implement additional measures if needed.
Thanks for your patience.
