[Resolved] Lustrep1 issue

Friday 17 March 13:00 CET (14:00 EET)

lustrep1 is back to service.

lustrep2 and lustrep3 require now an upgrade and need to be taken down from the system. Details of the current status of the different filesystems are given below:
  • lustrep1: Available.
  • lustrep2: The upgrade of lustrep2 is planned today Friday 17.3.
  • lustrep3: The upgrade of lustrep3 is planned on Monday morning 20.3. From Friday 17.3, the maximum running jobs for projects is set to zero:
    • Projects located on this filesystem can submit jobs but won’t be able to start.
    • Current running jobs will run to completion.
    • Users whose /home is on lustrep3 can access their /home directory.
  • lustrep4: Available.
When a filesystem is in maintenance:
  • If your /home directory is located on a filesystem in maintenance, you won’t be able to log in and instead a message “This account is currently not available” will be displayed.
  • If your /project directory is located on a filesystem in maintenance, you won’t be able to submit any job.

Please note that the account synchronization script is temporarily disabled when a filesystem is taken down from the system.

We appreciate your support and apologize for the impact these delays have on your project outcomes.

Please refer any question to our help desk https://lumi-supercomputer.eu/user-support/need-help/ where we are tracking issues raised by researchers and aiming to provide a solution as soon as possible.

Wednesday 15 March 8:00 CET (9:00 EET)

lustrep1 is still undergoing maintenance. Please note that the account synchronization script has been temporarily disabled (which, in particular, means that newly generated ssh key pairs won’t be recognized by the system until the script is running again).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Friday 10 March 9:00 CET (10:00 EET)

After lustrep4 last week, we noticed that lustrep1 requires further maintenance too and needs to be temporarily taken down from the system.
  • If your /home directory is located on the lustrep1 filesystem, you won’t be able to log in and instead a message “This account is currently not available” will be displayed.
  • If your /project directory is located on lustrep1, you won’t be able to submit any job.
We understand this is very frustrating for those affected by this issue. We will inform you as soon as lustrep1 and lustrep4 are back to service.
